Clan Sw)arM Squadrons
Squadrons have
been established for gamers specializing in different
Starcraft maps. Each squadron has a Squadron Leader;
this position shall be filled by someone who is not
only good at the maps he/she plays, but also displays
good leadership capabilities and serves as a good role
model. The Squadron Leader shall be responsible for
recruiting new members into their squadrons and shall
do everything they can to keep the squadron active.
The Squadron Leader may also elect to appoint a Co-Squadron
Leader, who shall help the Squadron Leader keep the
Squadron in order. There are four squadrons, each led
by one main Squadron Leader.
Fastest Money (FPM) Squadron
This squadron
is created for players who specialize in playing Fastest
Possible Map (FPM) money maps. These maps are usually
played using No Rules, so rushing is allowed. Players
of these map are usually very fast with their builds
and are able to attack and build at the same time. Members
of this squadron shall be designated as (FPM) in their
profiles.
Zero Clutter Money (ZC) Squadron
This squadron
is created for players who specialize in playing Zero
Clutter (ZC) money maps. These maps are usually played
using the No Rush designation. This means that players
cannot attack for a set amount of time (usually 15 or
20 minutes) and are free to build as much as they can
without fear of getting attacked. These games tend to
be long and intense, and players of these maps are usually
very proficient with using units that are higher up
in the tech tree. Members of this squadron shall be
designated as (ZC) in their profiles.
Non-Money (NM) Squadron
This squadron
is created for players who specialize in playing Non-Money
(NM) maps. These are the maps that do not use stacked
minerals, and they are usually maps that are approved
for use in Ladder games. Like FPM, Non-Money maps are
usually played using No Rules. Players of these maps
tend to well rounded and are very good at using resources
effectively. Games tend to be longer than FPM since
resource gathering is slower. Members of this squadron
shall be designated as (NM) in their profiles.
Use Map Settings (UMS) Squadron
This squadron
is created for players who specialize in playing Use
Map Settings maps. These are special maps made by various
people that are meant to be fun and entertaining. These
maps are very different from the maps mentioned above,
and they tend to have a theme to them. Different UMS
maps will offer different game play and the outcome
of the game is not recorded on the BNET account. Examples
of UMS maps include Nexus Destroyers, Lurker Defense,
and Starship Troopers. Members of this squadron shall
be designated as (UMS) in their profiles.
